Docparser vs ParseurLast updated
Docparser vs Parseur: which document parser fits your documents?
Pick Docparser if your documents come in a handful of fixed layouts and you want precise, rule-based parsers (zonal OCR, anchor keywords, table rules, with AI to help write the rules), priced per document of up to five pages: from $39 a month for 100 documents, or $32.50 billed annually. Pick Parseur if documents arrive by email in many layouts and you want an AI engine as well as templates, a free plan of 20 pages a month, and the REST API on every plan, priced per page: from $49 a month for 100 pages, or $39 billed annually. Long multi-page documents favour Docparser’s pricing; many one-page documents in shifting layouts favour Parseur’s approach.
We make InvoiceParser Pro, a third product, and say where it fits below. Every fact about Docparser and Parseur was read on its maker’s own website on 4 October 2026, and neither was tested hands-on. How we compared.

Docparser in short
Docparser extracts data with rules you define per document layout: zonal OCR, pattern recognition and anchor keywords, with table rules for line items and an AI parser that can write the rules for you. Its own invoice guidance is one parser per vendor layout.
It is priced by parsing credits: one credit is a document of up to five pages, so long documents cost no more than short ones. The number of parsers you can create rises with the plan, from 15 to 500.
Pick Docparser if
- You receive the same few layouts every month and want exactly the same fields each time.
- Your documents run to several pages, so a per-document credit is cheaper than paying by the page.
- You want CSV ready for QuickBooks or Xero import, or data into Google Sheets or Zapier.
Parseur in short
Parseur parses documents and emails sent to its mailboxes, by upload or by API, using Vision AI, Text AI or templates. Each mailbox has a schema; every result is formatted and validated against it, and failures are flagged by email and webhook before the data moves on.
It is priced by the page, with a free plan of 20 pages a month and paid plans that rise in steps of volume. Entry plans are for one user; the heavy-duty tier allows up to 100.
Pick Parseur if
- Your documents arrive by email in layouts you do not control.
- You want to start free and use the REST API from day one.
- Most documents are one or two pages, so paying by the page works out well.
The differences that matter
Per document or per page
A Docparser credit is one document of up to five pages; a Parseur credit is one page. At 100 a month the entry prices are close ($39 against $49 billed monthly), so the page count of your documents decides which is cheaper.
Rules first, or AI first
Docparser is built around rules per layout, with AI to help create them; it suits a stable set of suppliers or forms. Parseur offers AI engines beside templates and schema validation on every result; it suits mail that arrives in layouts you cannot predict.
What happens after extraction
Both send data on to spreadsheets, Zapier, Make, Power Automate and webhooks, and both have a REST API. Neither describes an arithmetic check of totals, a duplicate check or an approval step: they are parsers, and checking and approving is left to the system you send the data to.
How we compared
- Every fact about Docparser and Parseur (what each does, its published prices, plans and limits) was read on that vendor’s own website on 4 October 2026. The pages are listed under Sources below. Review sites and other comparisons were not used as sources.
- Neither product was tested hands-on for this page: nothing here measures how well either reads documents, and neither vendor’s own accuracy claims are repeated. Where a vendor does not publish a price or a feature, the page says “not published” or “not described” rather than guessing.
- We make InvoiceParser Pro, so it appears only as a third option, marked as ours, with its limits. Its facts come from its own pricing page and its published benchmark: 181 synthetic test documents run through live production on 3 October 2026, where 96.1% of documents had every key header field right. The method and every miss are on the accuracy benchmark page; it is our test set, not your documents, and it is not compared with any other vendor’s figures.
- Prices and features change. Confirm them with the vendor before you buy, and if something here is out of date, tell us at support@invoiceparserpro.com and we will correct it.
Docparser vs Parseur: questions buyers ask
Is Docparser or Parseur cheaper?

Does Docparser use AI?
Docparser is rules-based (zonal OCR, anchor keywords, table rules), and its SmartAI Parser can create the rules automatically. Parseur offers Vision AI and Text AI engines as well as templates.
Can Docparser and Parseur extract invoice line items?
Yes. Docparser uses table rules for description, quantity, unit price and line total. Parseur extracts table fields and can export one row per line item.
