Fictional invoice · narrated explanation · English captions · about 97 seconds

The review steps for converting a supplier invoice into an Excel result: source, line items, arithmetic and export. 1. Keep the lines, not only the total

An invoice spreadsheet is more useful when it preserves the line items, not just the supplier name and total. In this fictional invoice, the total looks consistent while one service line has the wrong extension. Keeping quantity, unit price and printed amount together makes the seventy five dollar difference possible to review.

2. Start with a readable source

Open Invoice to Excel on the InvoiceParser Pro website. Choose a PDF, JPEG or PNG, one invoice at a time in the browser tool. A clean digital PDF is a useful starting point. Wait for the result before exporting. This video explains the steps with synthetic material; it does not show an actual upload being processed.

3. Review fields and flags

Compare the supplier, invoice number, currency and total with the original page. Then review line descriptions, quantities, prices and any arithmetic flags. A successful upload does not prove that every field was read correctly. The worked example linked below lets you compare a known set of printed figures with the result you receive.

4. Download the format you need

Choose Excel when you need the invoice line items. The invoice CSV download contains header totals, so it is a different output. Review the downloaded file before using it. The free browser tool allows up to three documents a day, subject to shared limits. For recurring batches, compare the workspace plans and their allowances.
