Review an invoice before sending it to Xero
Fictional invoice · narrated explanation · English captions · about 96 seconds
Review the document type, signed amount, lines, approval and tax treatment before an accounting push. This educational workflow does not demonstrate a live Xero connection or posting. IPP's Xero push creates drafts and does not set tax codes; accounting pushes require a paid plan or trial.

1. Check the document type and sign
Before sending a document to your books, read its type and sign as well as its numbers. This fictional credit note shows a one hundred dollar service credit and fifteen dollars of tax. Its signed total is negative one hundred fifteen. The arithmetic agrees, but recording it as a new payable bill would tell a different story.
2. Review the invoice against its source
Compare the supplier, document number, dates, currency and signed total with the original. Inspect each line and resolve missing fields or arithmetic flags. Keep document classification and accounting treatment in the review. The calculated example does not prove that a reader will classify every document correctly or that a posting has occurred.
3. Understand the Xero push limits
IPP supports accounting pushes on paid plans and the trial. Its Xero bill push creates drafts, leaving another review step in Xero. It does not set tax codes. Check the tax treatment and categories on the draft. Each workspace connects one Xero company. This video does not demonstrate a live connection or a completed accounting posting.
4. Follow the current workflow guide
Use the linked Xero guide for the current workflow and limitations. Practice the document checks on the fictional example before working on your own records. A clean arithmetic result is one part of review. It does not replace checking the document type, signed amount, account category, tax treatment and destination draft.
