Nanonets vs Rossum: build your own workflow, or buy an enterprise platform?

Pick Rossum if you are an enterprise AP or shared-service team that wants a finished transactional-document platform with certified SAP and Coupa integrations, 3-way matching and duplicate handling, and can sign a contract of at least a year starting at $18,000. Pick Nanonets if you want to build your own document workflows and start self-serve: $50 of free credits without a card, then $100 a month for 100 credits, paying per block run, with QuickBooks, Xero and Sage exports on every plan. Both read line items and both have APIs; the difference is who builds the workflow and how you pay.

We make InvoiceParser Pro, a third product, and say where it fits below. Every fact about Nanonets and Rossum was read on its maker’s own website on 4 October 2026, and neither was tested hands-on. How we compared.

Nanonets in short

Nanonets is a platform for building AI workflows around documents. A workflow is a chain of blocks (extract, classify, validate, format, export), and every block run is billed: $0.30 for data extraction, $0.10 for standard AI such as classification or validation, $0.02 for simple steps. Nanonets says a typical invoice workflow runs four to six blocks per document.

For accounts payable it offers agents that apply your supplier terms, tolerances, coding rules and approval matrix, with 2-way and 3-way matching and duplicate checks, and exports to QuickBooks, Xero and Sage on every plan or to SAP, Oracle and NetSuite on Enterprise.

Pick Nanonets if

  • You want to start today without a sales call, and your volume is uneven enough that paying per run suits you.
  • You process many document types, not only invoices, and want to shape each workflow yourself.
  • You post to QuickBooks, Xero or Sage now and may need an ERP connector later.

Rossum in short

Rossum is AI document processing for transactional workflows, built for enterprise AP, procurement and operations teams. Its agents read documents, validate and transform the data, send emails, ask for approvals and write to the ERP, with certified SAP and Coupa integrations. Coupa has acquired Rossum, as Rossum’s own site announces.

Every plan is quoted. The entry plan starts at $18,000 a year with unlimited seats and API access; duplicate handling, master data matching and ERP integrations come with the Business plan, and contracts run for at least a year.

Pick Rossum if

  • You run SAP or Coupa and want certified integrations rather than building connectors.
  • You need 3-way matching against purchase orders and delivery receipts, and duplicate handling across channels.
  • You buy on annual contracts and want a vendor to help configure the workflow.

The differences that matter

How you buy

Nanonets is self-serve: an account starts with $50 of credits and no card, then $100 a month buys 100 credits, spent per block run. Rossum is sold on a quote and an annual contract, from $18,000 a year on the entry plan, with a 14-day trial to try it first.

Who builds the workflow

Nanonets gives you blocks and agents to assemble, including your own Python on its Growth plan. Rossum is a finished platform that you configure with business rules and approval routing, with add-ons for AP apps and e-invoicing.

Where the data goes

Nanonets exports to QuickBooks, Xero and Sage on every plan and to SAP, Oracle, NetSuite and Dynamics 365 on Enterprise. Rossum’s strength is the enterprise ERP and procurement side: certified SAP and Coupa integrations, plus NetSuite, Workday and Dynamics, with QuickBooks named among its integration add-ons.

How we compared

  • Every fact about Nanonets and Rossum (what each does, its published prices, plans and limits) was read on that vendor’s own website on 4 October 2026. The pages are listed under Sources below. Review sites and other comparisons were not used as sources.
  • Neither product was tested hands-on for this page: nothing here measures how well either reads documents, and neither vendor’s own accuracy claims are repeated. Where a vendor does not publish a price or a feature, the page says “not published” or “not described” rather than guessing.
  • We make InvoiceParser Pro, so it appears only as a third option, marked as ours, with its limits. Its facts come from its own pricing page and its published benchmark: 181 synthetic test documents run through live production on 3 October 2026, where 96.1% of documents had every key header field right. The method and every miss are on the accuracy benchmark page; it is our test set, not your documents, and it is not compared with any other vendor’s figures.
  • Prices and features change. Confirm them with the vendor before you buy, and if something here is out of date, tell us at support@invoiceparserpro.com and we will correct it.
