Rossum vs Netfira: which enterprise document automation fits your SAP?

Pick Rossum if you want an enterprise document automation platform for AP and operations, with certified SAP and Coupa integrations, a 14-day free trial and a published starting price of $18,000 a year on a one-year minimum; Coupa has acquired it. Pick Netfira if you run SAP S/4HANA or ECC and want the documents your trading partners send (order confirmations, customer orders, shipping notices as well as invoices) turned into ERP-ready data without an EDI rollout, with line-level 3-way matching and e-invoice formats such as XRechnung and Peppol UBL; its prices are not published.

We make InvoiceParser Pro, a third product, and say where it fits below. Every fact about Rossum and Netfira was read on its maker’s own website on 4 October 2026, and neither was tested hands-on. How we compared.

Rossum in short

Rossum is AI document processing for transactional workflows. It reads invoices, purchase orders, bills of lading and other documents from email, EDI, shared drives and scanners, validates and transforms the data, routes approvals and writes to the ERP, with certified SAP and Coupa integrations. Coupa has acquired Rossum, as Rossum’s own site announces.

It publishes one price: the Starter plan from $18,000 a year with unlimited seats and API access. Duplicate handling and ERP integrations come with Business, and e-invoicing is an add-on.

Pick Rossum if

  • Your scope is AP and operations documents, and you want a platform with a trial and a published entry price.
  • You run Coupa, or SAP and Coupa together.
  • You need many languages or handwriting, and e-invoices processed beside PDFs.

Netfira in short

Netfira, from Walldorf in Germany, calls itself a B2B transaction automation and orchestration platform: it sits between a company and its trading partners and turns the orders, confirmations, shipping notices and invoices they send into verified, ERP-ready data, promising EDI-level data without asking every partner to adopt EDI.

On the AP side it extracts header and line data, checks tax and totals, matches each invoice line against the purchase order and goods receipt with tolerances, routes approvals and delivers posting data to SAP S/4HANA or ECC directly, or to other systems by API or SFTP. It also takes e-invoice formats including XRechnung, ZUGFeRD, Factur-X, Peppol UBL, FatturaPA, Facturae and KSeF.

Pick Netfira if

  • Your problem is trading-partner documents as a whole (orders and confirmations as well as invoices), not AP alone.
  • You run SAP S/4HANA or ECC and want the data delivered there directly.
  • Partners will not adopt EDI, and you need e-invoice formats handled in the same flow as PDFs.

The differences that matter

Scope: AP and operations, or every trading-partner document

Rossum is strongest in accounts payable and other transactional documents inside the company. Netfira is built around the exchange with trading partners: supplier order confirmations checked against the purchase order, customer orders turned into sales orders, shipping notices and invoices, all into SAP.

Buying: a published entry price, or a demo

Rossum publishes its entry price ($18,000 a year, one-year minimum) and offers a 14-day trial. Netfira publishes no prices and starts with a demo; its pricing page describes customised plans where you pay for what you use. Ask both for a quote at the same volume, document mix and integration scope.

ERP and e-invoices

Both connect to SAP. Rossum’s integrations are certified for SAP and Coupa and extend to NetSuite, Workday and Dynamics. Netfira integrates directly with SAP S/4HANA and ECC and is on the SAP Store, and delivers to other systems as JSON, XML, CSV or IDoc. Netfira names seven e-invoice formats; Rossum sells e-invoicing as an add-on.

How we compared

  • Every fact about Rossum and Netfira (what each does, its published prices, plans and limits) was read on that vendor’s own website on 4 October 2026. The pages are listed under Sources below. Review sites and other comparisons were not used as sources.
  • Neither product was tested hands-on for this page: nothing here measures how well either reads documents, and neither vendor’s own accuracy claims are repeated. Where a vendor does not publish a price or a feature, the page says “not published” or “not described” rather than guessing.
  • We make InvoiceParser Pro, so it appears only as a third option, marked as ours, with its limits. Its facts come from its own pricing page and its published benchmark: 181 synthetic test documents run through live production on 3 October 2026, where 96.1% of documents had every key header field right. The method and every miss are on the accuracy benchmark page; it is our test set, not your documents, and it is not compared with any other vendor’s figures.
  • Prices and features change. Confirm them with the vendor before you buy, and if something here is out of date, tell us at support@invoiceparserpro.com and we will correct it.
